Released by grace I make the list. My boulder turns the grain to grist.

About me

Life is more than we see or know. This has always been true. I was an artist trapped in a Bussiness man’s body. Born as a curious soul, amidst the high expectations of ancestors, family and community, and with distinct variations of divergent traits, disabilities and the seeds of mental illness and insanity. I had my struggles. Born in the 1950s, I grew up in the 70s and 80s surrounded by rapid and increasing social and economic change, cultural conflict, social pressure, declining relative social mobility and the challenge of working out my plausible, acceptable, social and economic survival and adaptation, overcoming addictions, self absorption and grief. If I have succeeded at anything, it was through the kindness and friendship of others I was fortunate not to have missed.

Life is filled with marvelous lessons, discoverable in literature, art, adventure and other travel, education and escapism. These have all taken me on a journey of transcendence and change. Not always easy or fun, but real. A life blessed with vision enhanced by a nearly seventy years effort to pierce the mystery of meaning and culture with a deepening desire to understand love and recover the truest powers of self.

My Mission

To share stories of interior and external struggles, adventures, and adaptations. Not only mine but of family, friends, and extraordinary acquaintances, hoping to shed any possible light, offering fellowship, encouragement, and hope. To encourage writing, as a method of personal growth through self reflection. Helping us to tap into our subconscious and discover deeper truth about our lives; to tap our intrinsic strength, and resilience.
